X-Force: X-Force Only Comm

Laurie Collins and Hope Abbott are missing, and from what Kyle Gibney just told me on the phone, they're not showing up on Cerebro either. Last information puts them in Michigan - Laurie was accompanying Hope home for the weekend, and they did check in from there when they arrived.

Obviously I'm biased given my relationship with Laurie, and I know we've got some items going right now, but any help finding them would be appreciated.

Wade asked me to pass along that he will be by the offices and brownstone tomorrow. He figured best not to be startling anyone by dropping in unannounced.

So, I'm seeing a therapist that Sofia recommended. And he recommended I go on a therapy retreat this weekend.

His name is Gus Grim, and he was formerly employed at the Fulmer Institute (the place we took Mr. Barnes' daughter to), but now has a private practice.

The retreat is in the Catskills. I've left the information with Sofia (you were right, he is a hardass). They ask that use of phones and email be minimized. I've scheduled a few check-in calls with Sofia, but past that, only in emergencies, please.

I'll be back in the office around lunchtime on Tuesday.

We've spotted Vanessa, briefly. She's still here in Prague, and she looks like she's been treated pretty roughly. We're headed in right now.

Okay, with Remy back, and everyone recovering, it's probably time to figure out what HYDRA's next move is.

On the plus side, Nazi Bee Man is confirmed as dead. I think Wanda and I both breathe a sigh of relief there.

On the minus side, he got more or less replaced by a crazy no-skin-on-face guy. Who beat the hell out of me and Wanda. Fucking Nazis.

Rumlow is confirmed alive, and cut and run rather than stand and fight.

Fontaine is confirmed dead, as I saw her get a bullet behind the ear.

The administrator of said bullet was a young redhead who called nasty red skull guy 'father'. She's a big question mark for the moment.

Speaking of fathers, Mas y Menos von Creepytwins (Andreas and Andrea Schmidt? Strucker?) are confirmed injured but left the ambush site under their own power.

That about sum it up?

Okay, North sent his missing reports back by hand with Jubilee, and I'm sorting through the information right now. The major worry point is that a few of his contacts in the old Soviet Union are dead or missing under extremely suspicious circumstances. And apparently the ones that aren't dead or missing are running scared.

It's unclear whether this is part of a coordinated attack on us. I'm currently looking into the dead and missing people, trying to find some kind of pattern. I could use help from everyone not busy with something else.

Okay, I've got several hours' worth of take from the surveillance Jubilee set up on the building near New Orleans, as well as research Wanda and I did this evening into the movements of the Moseley Initiative personnel, and the picture it paints is NOT pretty.

Whatever these guys are aiming towards, they're loading for bear. It appears to be NBC (that's Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, not the TV network...) in nature, though the specifics aren't exactly clear.

In just the couple hours that the cameras and wiretaps have been live, the building has received a shipment of HAZMAT suits, a large supply of broad-spectrum chemical neutralizing material, and the piece de resistance - several medical-grade power neutralizers.

To top that off, they've had personnel investigating weather patterns, water tables, and other environmental factors in a concentric pattern that almost perfectly mirrors fallout studies for an explosion based on New Orleans. The only one that doesn't fit the pattern is a guy who went to Atlanta, where he got hold of a copy of a CDC study on a viral breakout where Patient Zero was in...you guessed it, New Orleans.

So to sum up, it's big, it looks to be mutant-related, and it looks to be really nasty.

I had been in the process of looking into a guy named Telford Porter outside of work, as a favor to Tabitha Smith. Porter's one of those wannabe Fagin types, and Tabitha was one of his "kids" for a while. He popped up about a year ago and made a play for her.

One of the things that came out from the investigation was that Porter wanted to get in good with the Black Court of the Hellfire Club. He'd shown up at a couple of mixers and so forth.

Well, apparently the chip he was going to try and use to get in with Shaw and Belladonna was by kidnapping my sister and using her as leverage against me.

Vanessa and her PI group managed to recover Katie, as well as several other girls that were being held in the city in preparation for being shipped to a Madripoor brothel.

As for Porter and his whereabouts, I wasn't able to keep a hold of him, given that he's a teleporter. Tabitha managed to get a hold of him just before he teleported to Madripoor. He got away from her, however, but heavily injured. He currently has close to nil in terms of resources: X-Factor cleaned out his NYC safehouse, Tabitha blew up his Madripoor brothel after Amanda had cleaned it out in the process of searching for my sister, and I cleaned out every bank account he has. I left him five dollars as the cherry on the giant "fuck you" sundae.

At this time, there's no indication that Porter had any knowledge of X-Force, or that his kidnapping of my sister was intended to in any way compromise the Snow Valley Centre's cover.

He's still at large (it's very difficult to keep a teleporter in one place), but I will be keeping feelers out, and if he shows up on my radar, I'll be taking more permanent steps.

As for my sister, I've taken steps to distance myself from my family, so that they can't be used against me again.

As intimated by Amanda's post, yes, I got jumped yesterday. By someone who was doing his level best to kill me. He had a remarkable lack of identifying information on him, so I'm still trying to track down who he was.

As to "you should see the other guy" quips, he's dead, and dumped. Yes, I'm also keeping an eye out to see if his body is discovered. Hence why I've been extremely busy this morning.
