I'll be back from Muir in about six hours, and in the office tomorrow. Everybody is back to their correct gender by now, right?

There's a file uploaded in the shared drive on what I ran down on the Essex material. Sarah, Marie-Ange, I want your input on this, especially since you knew the man. Otherwise, I think this line of inquiry is tapped out.

Doug, have you gotten any further with that laptop from the Brits yet? Or any more details on what we ran into in Uganda? We should be moving that to the top priority for the next little while, see if we can't shake down what we ran into in case there are any reprecussions on the way.

If anyone needs me, I'll be lying on my couch in a painkiller stupor about twenty seconds after getting through the door. Moira sent coffee back for you, which I think means she wants you all dead.

Got 'em!

I know one of the bastards that Campbell hired, and it turns out he's not happy about the job at all. Which is good, because otherwise I'd have to hunt him the fuck down. As it is, he's rolled over on them, and I'm heading up to Charlie's place now with what he gave me.

Our break, however, may not be good for the kids.

It looks like the kids have been kidnapped by Dr Rory Campbell. Yes, the one that used to work with Moira. Xavier's has received notes addressed to Moira from someone calling themselves "Ahab", but Nate swears the handwriting is Campbell's.

So: Nate has supplied us with everything Moira had on him, which given that he used to work for her, is quite a lot.

So: work him up. Trace anything we have from Moira's files. Start with his money - what's he been doing to earn a crust since MacTaggart gave him the boot? He's obviously got resources from somewhere, and I want to know where, because it's not like there are many operations that hand out free money in exchange for the kidnapping of children. Campbell's intelligent, but he's not a pro. He'll have slipped up somewhere. Find out where.

Strike one

So, the location spell is a bust. I'm not exactly sure why, but things kind of blew up a bit - this is why I pick fire-proof things as a focus - and all I managed was a burnt patch on my floor and slightly singed eyebrows. Could have been a power overload, but I'm not sure why that would be the case.

Back to the drawing board.

Xavier's has sent me what they have, which is not very fucking much. It's on the server.

Doug: threat analysis. Who's got a motive for this? Who has the technology to pull off a stunt like this?

Wanda, Betsy: get down to where the were grabbed, see if you can turn up anything - witnesses, missed evidence, funny hunches, anything. Try not to annoy the coppers around the area too much.

Angie: In the even you can get anything that seems relevant, then your best guesses, please, and then give Doug a hand.

Amanda, Illyana: you get to try and keep as much of everything else off everyone's else's desk. Yeah, I know it's not the glamorous and exciting stuff. Sorry.

Mark: very fucking unlikely, I know, but is there anyone new and suspicious in town? Anyone stupid enough to be mouthing off about their exciting new job in places where Silver's patron's might hear?

I'm going to talk to a mate in the NYPD, and with any luck, I can persuade Garrison that it'd be really nice if we got to hear about anything the FBI might be looking at.
