Mainly because I am tired and wish to sleep soon.

Clean-up continues as folks work to make sure the police will come away thinking that there was - well, something happened and it was not tied to us. They could blame it on Godzilla for all I can right about now.

Amanda and I are coming back from one of Emma's clinics, a bit worse for wear. She was stabbed in the shoulder and then knocked out cold; I am currently sporting stitches on my face.

In that vein, whoever has taken over the reigns on the Chthon cult is very, very dangerous and he got away. It was clear that the cult was better organized these past few days than they have ever been and we had a hell of a time going up against him. And not all of that was from the ring.

I want to know who he is, what his goals are and, more importantly, how to shut him down.

Hard.

On the other hand, there is good news. While the bastard got away, the ring was destroyed and their hide out in our city has been so compromised that it is not even funny. The women are heading back to their homes shortly and I will start working on shutting down that safe house.

And Agatha has left. Thank fuck.

It seems that yesterday's interesting news article might not be a coincidence after all. About an hour ago, I received a call from one of the victims of the Exemplars kidnapping scheme and it seems that several known members have been spotted in the area.

I do not know what they are up to or what their intent is but I doubt anything is innocent in nature.

I am thinking that we should offer up a safe house to house the women that wish to be hidden - one that we can close down without any problems after this has blown over. Also, we need someone stationed near the ones that will not want to vacate in case there's trouble - these people have powers, yes, but most of them are soccer moms, college students and those who have never fully trained themselves in using it.

In the mean time, we need to find out who is in town, what they are looking for and if we need to move against them. The last time I encountered them, I was blindsided. I refuse to let them have that kind of advantage again.
