Right, the office is up and running. Consider all the normal protocals in effect as usual.

The situation isn't good. Based on the reports from Adrienne Frost, Kyle Gibney, and the forensic teams at the scene, the car was hit by an explosive charge in the front, and everyone ambushed coming out of it. We know that Sabretooth led the attack, with a group of unidentified mutants, which likely means Magneto is on a recruitment drive for the Brotherhood.

It's also very unlikely that any of the people in the car survived. Unless they had a teleporter handy and a medical bay the level of Muir ready, the odds are very low that they lasted more than a few minutes past the injuries Frost saw inflicted on them. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but be prepared that this is probably not going to be a rescue plan when we find these batards.

The Brotherhood are now our top priority, but they are not our only priority. We still have a job to do, and we're not dropping everything for the sake of revenge. Each of you are still responsible for the network and the intelligence coming in. Anything on the Brotherhood, we expedite; consider yourself having a blank check and full latitude to follow up any leads. If Pete or any of the others are alive, we're going to find them. If not, none of the people responsible for this are going to get away alive.

I hate to be the one saying "Let us not assume they are dead -or- alive." but in eight hours, I've gotten exactly -no- consistent readings, neither for Pete nor Garrison and I know my precognition is working. Could Adrienne Frost's power be manipulated in some way to give her inaccurate information?

I am getting consistent readings for other people, and I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of those readings, although I can confirm at least one of them just to be sure.

Great. According to Xavier's people, Frost's powers are pretty certain in these kinds of situations, and the physical evidence at the scene supports what she said went down. I think we can rule out that it's an elaborate hoax by the Brotherhood.

There's questions either way. Creed doesn't normally collect the bodies he makes, so its possible that at least some of them are still alive. But, if they wanted prisoners in the first place, why did they use lethal methods during the attack? Dani and Kane would have bled to death in a few minutes at best from their injuries, they took out both Jay's wings and part of his spine, which even if he survived the system shock somehow leaves him permenantly crippled physically, and based on the location that was described of the shots, I think a professional marksman got Pete through the spine as well.

So let's consider that they might still be technically alive, but in comas, medically on the edge. Would that effect the readings in the same fashion?

I think it would. Possibly. I do not know Danielle or Jay well enough to have anything that makes sense for them, but Pete and Garrison should come up strongly and consistently and neither of them are.

I can keep trying. I used to get strange readings from Manuel while he was in a coma, and when you were near death both times, I got very odd readings - I thought that was just because you are who you are and your future has always confused me and given me headaches.

Regardless, someone got all four of them, or their bodies out before witnesses say anything, yes? I would think that indicates some kind of teleporter?

No, the only way any of them could have possibly survived is if the Brotherhood had a teleporter. They could have tossed the bodies into a van and driven off just as easily.

So, let's take an optimistic view for a moment. Brotherhood ever had any teleporters that we know of? Marie-Ange, new job for you. I want everything that the X-Men have ever learned about the Brotherhood. Talk to Pietro, put together a full profile of all of the known associates that we can find. That might be the key to finding them.

They have at least one that I know of. The incident several months ago with the Blackbird being destroyed involved a teleporter. From what it seems, he called himself Abyss and used some kind of shadow power to teleport.

Doug - can you get the information about him? I cannot access the X-Men's files from here easily and you are already there.

That implies that Pietro will speak to me, but I can probably arrange something through Crystal if I need to. Forge and I are on good terms, and if not me, than Doug can.

Wanda, Angie and I are going to follow up our contacts in Europe as well as the stuff we were already working on with the occult network. We might even be able to get Farouk to use some of his connections to help out - a bit of quid pro quo, given he owes us for saving his arse in Paris.

Will do. We're thinking Germany might be a good place for our next stop - Mystique has the personal connections there we might be able to shake loose. Kurt hasn't been in touch with her since Mexico City as far as I know, but I can ask him if he's got anything else, seeing how he seems to keep running into her when he wants to.

We're following protocol as pretty strictly as we can right now - there's four of us and no one goes out without a partner. There are vague murmurings but nothing more but we'll follow it to Germany.

I've got contacts and family there, along with Kurt's information. If there's information to be found, we'll find it.

Further details from Adrienne - Sabretooth sent the mansion a present. The comms from the mansion folks. She's read them, managed some details and she raised an interesting question - why take the bodies and not the parts? If they wanted to freak people out, wouldn't bodies do it better? Unless something got in the way. Sof? You got any guesses?

Remy, I gave Adri one of your secure numbers to give you details direct, in case we wind up out of contact out here. Try not to scare her off? She's a bit twitchy around men from what I've seen.

Got your number from Morgan. Comms Jay, Gar, and Dani were carrying showed up today in the mail. Read them. Wanted to keep you in the loop. I saw Creed carry the comms to a motel room. Didn't see the name but I'll track the linens I saw on the bed to find that out. No sign of anyone else- Creed was alone. He was laughing as he wrecked the comms. Mailed them through FedEx via motel staff, but I didn't see the employee. Sorry I don't have more. Thinking more clearly today but nothing important. Can't stop thinking awful thoughts, like wondering why rip off wings and arm and leave them at the crime scene? Sick.
