Tell Xavier's thanks for the reports on Sri Lanka. I've been doing some research and it looks like the kids are right; there's a campaign of genocide going on in the north. The Tamil Eelam has fractured between north and east, and it looks like the eastern branch decided to take the whole movement over by making a deal with the Sinhalese dominated Sri Lankan government and the Indians. Because you have conflicting reports from the Tamils, they've very neatly tied the hands of any sort of proper international response other than diplomatic ones, and with peacekeepers getting killed in Pakistan, no one is going to step in. It looks like Neramani just brought Sri Lanka back into the fold, which extends his powerbase much deeper into the IO.

There's more good news. Several thousand dollars buys a lot in Pune, including confirmation that the Indian military has a special unit in place for 'counter terrorism'. Their nickname is the 'khusrawi agoriya', loosely translates into a palace or imperial guard. They answer directly to the Prime Minister's office, and they were coordinating the Indian ground forces in Sri Lanka. We discussed, and it's time to send a little message to the Indian government that using trained mutants militarily against civilians is not acceptable.
