Pete's just skipped out on his toes to go haggle with the King of the Saud or something, so it looks like Betts and I got this one to deal with. This is the part where we all earn our paychecks.

There's all sorts of ugly rumours about him, but his record is completely clean, which is a sure sign that he's not to be trusted.

Information time. We need a lot of it as soon as we can dig it up. Amanda, I want you on a plane to Muir. Pete doesn't want Moira knowing, and you've got a good relationship with Conners. We need an idea of what someone could do with MacTaggart's DNA. Everyone should read the mission report from the New Years attack a couple of years ago. If that's the limit, we've got some time, but if there's more, I want to know. I've seen Kitty floating around, Drag her with you to puzzle out the big words. Hop over to Edinbrough as well, chase up the bete bleu if Conners isn't sure.

Doug, I want blueprints and background. I've sent the location Wisdom says the shipment went to. Get inside those systems and find out what you can and whether or not it may have been moved. Schematics, employee lists, anything. Wanda, there's a ticket to Germany on your desk. I want some direct surveillance. Get a clear view of that complex and the people moving in and out of it.

Sofia, according to your file, you worked as a profiler. I want you to work one up on Strucker. We need to know if he's just a greedy amoral bastard or if he's got that megalomania mixed with psychosis that means he's going to unlease swarms of killer mutants on the planet. There's a bunch of contacts attached that can get you into his history. I'll try and throw anyone spare in your direction to help out.

We'll put together everyone's findings in three days. Go to work.

I did. You're not supposed to have my file, however. I hope this place has decent walling, otherwise there is going to be a large black van pulling up any second now.

I'd suggest checking out rule two on your tone, but as a token, if I get some free time I'll see what I can do.

I don't like rules. And your file is the absolute least of our worries if people figure out who's actually working in this place. Last I checked, I'm still wanted in about a dozen countries.

I'd say you're lucky I started on security and worked my way down, but I like to think that's less luck and more that I'm just good at my job, or else Pete wouldn't have hired me.

I'm sure you know it, but just so it's said in public: while I want the system, an actual op always takes priority over ongoing work, unless y'know, it obviously doesn't.

If it's any consolation, I am not going to the fun bits of Saudi Arabia, with the corrupt members of the Royal Family and the palaces. I am going to the desert, with the fanatics, and this is not going to be fun.
