You could come with me to L.A? I'm meant to be meeting up with old friends. There might be violence involved if it's old enemies instead.

It's very tempting, although in theory, I'm supposed to be staying out of trouble. How long will you be gone?

Not long, day at the most, maybe? If it's a friend, I'll stay till Monday. If not, I'll probably be back after I beat the living crap out of whoever the bad guy is...or get kidnapped and be on my way to Madripoor. You could be my fellow kidnapee. The beatings only hurt till your ribs go all lovely and numb, I'm told.

Hmm. I'm kind of allergic to getting beaten. I break out in hives.

You can hide behind me? I'm getting kind of used to the beatings by now.

Yeah, but you're all short and wee. I mean, hiding behind one of the big guys, that's one thing. But even in my current state, I can still see over the top of your head without any effort. That seems like a good way to get punched in the nose, to me.

You could tell them 'not in the face'? Would it convince you if I told you I'm a little nervous abotu this whole 'meeting old friends' thing, and could use a current friend to hide behind if it's akward and weird?

Shoes I could do. I saw the most awesomest pair of boots yesterday, in Black, red or white. Sort of knee high, with a zip to the side, and then laceups and buckles in the front. High heeled, natch.

Jubilee once encountered my wraith after breaking into my apartment. I shut her in my fridge. I think the terror still holds.

Still. I thought I'd be worth more than shoes.

I eat when I'm afeared. It's a thing. Also, they were good sandwiches. You keep a very good fridge, such better fair then Mr North's.

Besides, I have fantastic taste in almost everything. Food just naturally follows.
