Just So Everyone Doesn't Get Too Relaxed

x_snowvalleyWe go back to work on Monday. According to Sarah, she got pinched while in New York and shipped out to Germany. That is the sign of a organization, mes braves. Someone or a group of someones that have the connections and the structure to grab mutants off the streets and ship them confidentially to international destinations. That is worth our attention. Not to be grim, but my guess is most of them aren't lucky enough to have Sarah's healing factor to grow back a liver once they get it hacked out of them.
The downside is that in a city of over eight million, and who knows how many boroughs, transiets and tourists, it's not easy to pinpoint this stuff. I want people working on all the angles you can think of. I've got some contacts in the 'shipping' business, so to speak, who might have an idea. Someone should start combing missing persons, and see if we can put together a rough idea of how many we might be looking at. Also, how are they targeting mutants? There aren't a lot of us, and most don't obviously broadcast their nature. So, telepaths, hounds, someone come up with an iCerebro Mini?
I want you to be creative. By the end of the week, I want every idea you've got on how to approach this investigation, and how we can get the information we need. Luck is the only reason that Morlocke isn't dead. We can't count on that for anyone else.

Date: 2006-07-01 01:14 am (UTC)I'll head down to both the universities, check out the student resources for mutants. There's a bunch of tiny non-profits that set themselves up as shelters and assistance and the like for mutants. I'll see if they're noticing any weirdness in the way of numbers changing, people disappearing, that sort of thing. And I'll talk to a couple of people in the student union too, see if they've got anything for me. The sociology thing can be a good cover - research for an assigment on young mutants and their needs.
And hey, I can get my next batch of assignments.
