I have little time, so I'll be brief. Pete's looking into the disappearance right now, and Betsy's gotten word out to some of the agency contacts we have to try and find out about what happened to Attilan. Doug's done the preliminaries, and what we know is this.

Shortly before Attilan's disappearance, a plane exploded in the air over Attilan. It would be worth finding out who's incharge of the salvage, and seeing if we can get access to the black box. As for the island itself, according to Portuguese military, flybys have discovered no wreakage or signs of explosives used on the island. European tracking stations have also stated that they had no active launches on the board at the time of the disappearance.

What all this means is that the first response is that no body knows merde right now. Wanda, I want you to coordinate this. We need someone to get in touch with the European Oceanological Institute and see if any eruptions or volcanic activity was present in the area of Attilan. If it pulled an Atlantis and dropped into the sea, there will be a sign. The US Navy has the best subs in the water, and garaunteed they'll do a few sweeps. We've got some contacts in there, I want to know if they found the remains of a country under the water. Someone else gets the rogues gallery. Who's powerful enough to rip an entire island out of existance and leave no immediate trace. Someone gets to go over to the school and find out if Cerebro spiked at the time and we just got a major power manifestation.

Wanda, pull it all together and talk to Pete about what to do next. I'm not going to be available for a few days. Other things to deal with.

You should see all the conspiracy theories floating around right now. Everything from Magneto lifting Attilan into orbit to create his new base of operations to Attilan having been a figment of our imaginations all along. I've been playing the blog circuit because there's usually at least one nibblet of good information under a ton of poop, but I haven't found it yet.

We can cross magic off the list straight away. I was there when it happened, and even from a plane I would have felt the sort of power needed to shift a whole fucking island. I've been going through the various chat rooms and stuff any way, just in case having a major city disappear was enough to fritz my powers, but this particular mysterious disappearance isn't of the smoke and mirrors variety.

I'm planning to go over to the mansion tonight, if we need someone doing the face to face thing.

Been mainlining news feeds and caffeine most of the day. I have discovered two things. Those things are 'fuck' and 'all'. Mark's already covered the field day that conspiracy theorists are having with this, so I won't go into that. Legitimate news outlets are doing their usual routine when they don't know what the heck is going, which is to say taking one blurry photo or piece of footage from wherever they can find it, play it several times an hour, and bring talking heads on to talk out their collective asses.

I think Amanda's heading over to the mansion tonight, and I was told in no uncertain terms to go home since I didn't last night, so I'm going to go check in on Angie and then pass out. When someone anywhere actually knows something legitimate, I'll pass it along to everyone else.
