Sometime today, elements of the Assassins Guild, led by Belladonna, my ex-wife, took Amanda's van in the city, with Angelo and five other members of Xavier's inside. They are being held for ransom, in exchange for the stones that the X-Men took from the temple in Nova Roma.
On top of that, a big group of students and staff, including several X-Men, took a trip to Las Vegas and have since disappeared. In total, the mansion has seventeen people now missing, including Amanda. Someone is systematically spreading the resources of the mansion as thin as possible, in order to get those stones. I can tell you that Belladonna is not the main player behind this.
The X-Men are going to turn over those stones in exchange for the people taken in the van. Before that happens, we need to know a lot of things.
Wanda, Illyana, I need to know what those stones are being used for. It was the Selene cult in Nova Roma, and we suspect they're likely behind this too.
Doug's been keeping a light electronic surveillance on Professor Alarune, who we tagged down in Nova Roma. Chances are he's involved. Pete's going to coordinate people to up that trail and keep tabs on him. If we're lucky, he'll lead us right to those stones and the people incharge. I'll try and track down anything about the Guilds that could tie this together.
We need to know what's going on and figure out how to strike back, before anyone gets the idea of starting to kill Xavier's people to keep the pressure up. Get to it.
